 Located in Riverton, Utah

World-class ballet training.
In-person and online classes available!

We are so happy at West Point! They are great with communication and they have handled every curve ball thrown at them from COVID wonderfully! We love it here!" - Sarah D.
My daughter started at West Point when it began...I was impressed even before she started. I had searched for something that fits my criteria (professional without being over the top, teaching ballet, not just girls running around, and to focus on true ballet), but didn't find it until West Point came along...If you are looking for somewhere that focuses on the important of technique, hard work, and still a loving fun atmosphere, this is the place for you." - Brittany D.
As a former ballerina, it was important for me to find a studio that teaches top-notch ballet technique and west Point Ballet does just that. My daughter LOVES going to the class each day... Mrs. Juliana has ignited a love for ballet in my daughter that no previous teacher ever has. My daughter comes home so excited to show me what she's learned and practices at home all the time because she loves it so much. Mrs. Juliana is also excellent at communication and is incredibly organized. We cannot say enough good things about this studio and highly recommend it." - Erin M.
My 4-year old daughter started ballet at West Point this year and has absolutely loved the experience. Juliana does a fantastic job working with the young girls, and has handled all of the COVID-19 safety protocols very well. Looking forward to hopefully many years ahead at West Point!" - Courtney H.

Schedule Information

Most class levels are determined by the dancer's age. If appropriate, dancers may be placed in different levels based upon their skill level and the judgment of the teacher. Ballet Academy classes are determined by audition or teacher evaluation.

Beginning Ballet Classes

Mommy-and-Me Creative Movement
For dancers who are 18-36 months old and an accompanying adult
Section 1: Thursday, 10:45-11:15AM
Section 2: Saturday, 9:30-10AM

Mommy-and-Me Creative Movement is an introduction to pre-ballet for young tots ages 18-36 months. An accompanying adult takes the class with the budding dancer, making this a fun and interactive first introduction to a structured ballet class. In these toddler ballet classes, we will explore rhythm, musicality, and locomotive coordination while learning to follow instructions and remember patterns and sequences. Dancers will be exposed to ballet steps and vocabulary, setting them up for success when they are old enough to join our Pre-Ballet A class.

One class a week for a 6 week session: $45 total
The next sessions will begin in August, 2020.
Pre-Ballet A: for dancers who are 3 years old
Section 1: Monday, 10:30-11AM
Section 2: Tuesday, 3:30-4PM

(Section 2 is FULL)
Section 3: Thursday, 9:30-10AM
Section 4: Saturday, 10-10:30AM

Pre-Ballet A is designed for dancers who are experiencing ballet class for the first time. Dancers will learn how to follow the teacher's instructions, mimic the teacher's movements for all exercises in class, interact with other dancers, and follow class rules. We focus on creative movement and refining locomotive skills to help improve coordination. Additionally, we utilize imagery to bring your dancer's imagination to life, and sow the seeds for technical development down the road. Ballet should be very fun at this age and we know your dancer will have a wonderful time in class!

In-person class tuition - One class a week: $35 per month; Two classes a week: $56 per month
Online class tuition - One class a week: $20 per month; Two classes a week: $30 per month

Section 1: Monday, 11-11:45AM
Section 2: Tuesday,  4-4:45PM
Section 3: Thursday, 10-10:45AM

Pre-Ballet B focuses on a lot of the same concepts that are covered in Pre-Ballet A. Our priorities are musicality, creative and imaginative movement, introducing ballet technique, and developing correct use of muscles. With the developmental advances that children experience at 4 years old, we are able to start correcting students and encouraging critical thinking about how to "fix it". Class time is slightly longer than Pre-Ballet A to allow for more locomotive and coordination-improving steps. Pre-Ballet B is an upbeat class that will teach your dancer to love ballet!

Section 2: Tuesday, 4:45-5:45PM
Section 3: Wednesday, 5:30-6:30PM (Satellite studio)
Section 4: Saturday, 11:15-12:15PM

Primary Ballet A is a beginning ballet level. Designed for dancers who are 5 or 6 years old, this class introduces many classical ballet concepts for the first time. As in previous levels, dancers still mimic the teacher for most exercises, but are becoming more self-sufficient in memorizing combinations and executing without visual cues. Dancers begin to understand the use of ballet terminology in this class. In addition to musicality and artistry, we encourage dancers to use correct muscles by implementing cross-training exercises, and safely begin to increase flexibility. With emphasis on imaginative movement, dancers in Primary Ballet A enjoy every class.

Section 1: Tuesday, 5:45-7PM
Section 2: Thursday, 4-5:15PM
Section 3: Saturday, 12:15-1:30PM

Primary Ballet B is the first level that is structured like a traditional ballet class. Dancers work on ballet technique at the barre and center, with an increased focus on connective movements and jumps. This class is slightly longer than Primary Ballet A in order to cover all of the material. Flexibility, musicality, and performance quality are improved in this level. Dancers are more focused in Primary Ballet B and begin to act like classical ballet students.

In-person class tuition - One class a week: $52 per month; Two classes a week: See Academy Lilac Level
Online class tuition - One class a week: $30 per month; Two classes a week: See Academy Lilac Level

Section 1: Tuesday, 7-8:15PM

In addition to the material covered in previous levels, Primary Ballet C focuses on improving students' knowledge of key ballet concepts like turnout, posture, ballet etiquette, and connective steps. Structured like a true ballet class working at the barre, in the center, and allegro work, dancers string together more complex combinations than any previous level.
